Saturday Christmas Events - The Finale!

For those who just can't get enough of Christmas, refuse to believe the holiday is over, or just want to do anything besides fight the crowds at the mall return to that ugly sweater from Grandma - I give you the last of the holiday events in NE Seattle:

Handel's Messiah Sing and Play-Along
This performance is celebrating its 40th anniversary and sounds about as wild, crazy and fun as you can get playing Handel's Messiah.  From the UUC website: "We sing and play every movement – and everyone gets a chance to sing the solos.  All singers and instrumentalists are welcome to participate."
University Unitarian Church
6556 35th Ave. N.E.
Saturday, 12/26: 7:00 - 9:00pm; $10-12

Christmas in Olde EnglandFor the die-hard traditionalists, Blessed Sacrament's holiday program sticks to English carols from the Middle Ages to Victorian times.  Go listen and pretend you're in a scene from Charles Dickens novel.
Blessed Sacrament Church
5051 9th Ave. NE
Saturday, 12/26: 7:30 - 9:30pm; Admission by donation (suggested is $20)

Santa Claus - Twisted Flicks
Jet City Improv redubs the dialogue to this little known Christmas classic described as a "Mexican horror holiday film depicts and extraterrestrial Santa doing battle with a demon sent to Earth by Lucifer to ruin Christmas." Nuff said.
The Historic University Theater
5510 University Way NE
Saturday, 12/26: 8:00pm; $10

It’s a Wonderful Life
The consummate holiday classic, Frank Capra's 1946 movie about an angel showing suicidal Jimmy Stewart what life would be like if he was never born.
Grand Illusion Theatre
1403 NE 50th Street
Final week!  Everyday at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM
